The Principals' Program is an intensive program for Jewish day school principals combining seminars in Israel and America, individualized projects, and mentoring. Over the past ten years the program has graduated nearly 250 participants who form a cross-denominational network of skilled, dedicated professional Jewish day school leaders.

The Principals' Program is currently in a study phase, to gain a greater understanding of the short and long term impact of our program. The process is an important component of our modeling ourselves the action research thinking and reflectivity that we've been teaching and promoting.

My leadership skills and my self-confidence in my leadership skills have grown as a result of this learning experience. I am grateful to the Lookstein Center and the Avi Chai Foundation for providing me with excellent training in administrative skills and leadership.
- Galya Greenberg, Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Hartford

The Lookstein program was a transformative learning experience in that I feel that I have new and improved skills as a school leader. The fact that an experienced school leader can feel transformed after 19 years of administrative experience as a principal, demonstrates how effective the learning experience was. Kudos to all of your wonderful staff for sending me back to Magen David "new and improved"!
- Richard Altabe, Magen David Yeshiva High School, Brooklyn

This year was a significant milestone in our growth as leaders. We learned that successful change occurs first by identifying a need and then systematically planning ways to generate the support of administration, colleagues and staff members in the initiative. This collaborative effort is the power that drove this project forward at a rate that far exceeded our goals.
- Beverley Young and Anita Eckhaus, Bialik Hebrew Day School, Toronto
