Steve Bailey
earned his Doctorate from Rutgers University, in clinical/ developmental psychology. He is co-founder of Shalhevet School in Los Angeles. He just completed two years as a Visiting Professor of Jewish education at York University, Toronto, and now is a full-time educational consultant for Professional Development at Shalhevet. He is the author of two books and numerous articles on psychology, education and Judaism. He continues to present training workshops and courses on Jewish moral education and teacher training, mentor Jewish educators and design curriculum.

Jack Bieler has worked in Jewish day schools in New York and Maryland for over 30 years. He is also currently the Rabbi of Kemp Mill Synagogue in Silver Spring, MD. He has published extensively on philosophy of Jewish education and Modern Orthodoxy. He and his wife Dr. Joan Glick Bieler, are the parents of four children and have one grandchild. |

Lee Buckman
founded the Jewish Academy of Metropolitan Detroit, a halachically-based non-denominational Jewish day high school, in 1999 and served as Head of School until 2008. He is currently an educational consultant working with foundations and schools. Prior to moving to Detroit, he was a congregational rabbi in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and also served on the faculty of the Milwaukee Jewish Day School. He and his wife Rachel are the parents of four boys ranging in ages from 15-19. |

Shana Harris was Co-ordinator of General Studies at the South Africa Board of Jewish Education. For the last twenty two years she has been part of the administrative team at Bialik Hebrew Day School in Toronto, and is currently the Head of School. Shana is a graduate of the Lookstein Principals' program, and has been a mentor in the Lookstein Program for the past three years.

Ted Walker is completing 43 years in education this June. During his teaching career he taught elementary school, secondary school and at the university level. He has been an administrator for the last 34 years holding the positions of vice-principal (elementary and secondary schools), principal (elementary and secondary schools), assistant superintendent and superintendent. For the last 6 years he has been responsible for the General Studies Program at Eitz Chaim School in Toronto. Ted is a recent graduate of the Lookstein Principals’ Program.
