Program Staff

Deborah Court is a lecturer at Bar-Ilan University's School of Education, where she is the head of the curriculum department and director of the Principals’ Program at the Lookstein Center. She received her doctorate in curriculum studies from the University of British Columbia in Canada. Before making aliyah in 1995 she was an elementary school teacher, day school principal and university lecturer in British Columbia. Her research and writing focus on school and classroom cultures and on educational leadership in Israel and North America.

 

Zvi Grumet is the Associate Educational Director of The Lookstein Center. In addition to being the Associate Director of the Principals' Program, he is the Associate Editor of Jewish Educational Leadership.  He also teaches bible and pedagogy at Machon Pardes, and is a senior staff member at Yeshivat Eretz HaTzvi. Prior to his aliyah, he taught and was an administrator in a number of day schools in the NY area.
