Position: New Assistant Principal Position
YDE Girls Elementary School is located in vibrant Brooklyn, New York, home of the fastest growing

Our vibrant all girls Syrian Bet Yaakov, grades kindergarten through eighth grade, provides a warm
atmosphere coupled with an emphasis on high academic achievement as we guide young women to
develop middot tovot, self-confidence and leadership skills.
We are looking for a Hebrew Assistant Principal to oversee the Judaic Studies program and
supervise faculty and students from grades K-5. We offer a seminary and college bound
preparatory curriculum built on a strong foundation of Torah and Halacha.
As the Hebrew Assistant Principal, you would work with a team of highly qualified professionals
including the principals, curriculum, programs, keriah, and learning center coordinators, and the
school mental health team. You would use your skills to communicate with various people, handle
logistics, and keep all Judaic Studies programs running. You would be a religious role model for
faculty, parents, and the students and ensure that the school’s mission is understood and adhered

• Build relationships with staff, students and parents
• Quick classroom visits to offer support and feedback to teachers and collect data
• Encourage and support development of innovative instructional programs
• Collaborate with Hebrew Curriculum coordinator, Hebrew Learning Center Director, Keriah
Director, Program Coordinator
• Work with Curriculum Coordinator on Judaic Studies assessments
• Help with clerical aspects of Report Cards/Curriculum/Parent Teacher Conferences
• Judaic Studies classroom experience
• Basic Hebrew language fluency
• Experience in a leadership role
• Knowledge of elementary school policies and procedures
• Excellent communication skills
• Outstanding organizational ability
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Good judgment and decision-making aptitude
• Education degree/Chinuch certification
