Junior High School Director/Principal
The Fuchs Mizrachi School is a community driven by a passion for Torah values, Religious Zionist ideals, and the pursuit of excellence in General and Judaic learning and leadership. Mizrachi students are inspired to develop intellectual skills, emotional strength and spiritual commitment, and are poised to become the future community leaders.
The Junior High School director/principal will work closely with administration, faculty, and staff to design/implement a vision for the Junior High School. You will create a student-centered, whole-child culture that fosters and promotes spiritual, academic, and social/emotional growth through a focus on skills, content, habits, and mindsets.
The ideal director/principal has at least five years of administrative experience. He/she has experience with junior high school curriculum, character education, social/emotional development of adolescents, student support, technology integration, teacher supervision, college admissions, and budgeting.
The director/principal’s specific responsibilities include the following:
Mission and Vision – including modeling school values, setting/articulating JH’s educational approach and strategies, and possessing an innovative vision aligned with the broader school.
Mindsets – including showing an authentic interest in the growth of young people and a joy in working with JH students of all types and abilities, recognizing that learning should be purposeful and meaningful, and understanding that learning can only happen in an environment of mutual respect, support, belonging and connection.
Culture of Learning and Growth – including engaging in innovative/reflective thinking and problem solving to continually improve teaching and learning in the ever-changing field of education, creating a positive school culture which reflects our Torah values and enables learning, and fostering a school climate which is simultaneously challenging and supportive in a personalized way.
Faculty – including recruiting, hiring, and supporting teachers and staff who will best support our students with student-centered and whole-child approaches to education.
Responsibilities extend to other areas including extra-curricular activities, budgeting, admissions, communications, and community engagement.
