Hebrew Academy of Miami, a growing Modern Orthodox high school in sunny Miami Beach, is seeking applicants for a full-time English teacher to join our team of dedicated professionals who believe in the pursuit of excellence and attention to the needs of each student in a caring environment permeated with Torah values.

The primary and essential duties/responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Develop and implement an engaging and effective English curriculum aligned with state and national standards.
Assess and evaluate student learning, and provide constructive feedback to students and families.
Attend faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school events in support of the school and community.
Fulfill other non-teaching duties as assigned by the Principal.

Develop a strong rapport with students and foster an excellent classroom culture incorporating the use of fair and consistent standards.
Provide opportunities for student expression using spoken, written, and electronic forms of communication.
Develop lessons that engage students in higher-order thinking.

Provide a safe learning environment in which students freely take intellectual and creative risks and see failure as a critical part of the learning process.
