YUHSB/MTA is looking for a learning center specialist for 2021-2022

Yeshiva University High School for Boys (MTA) is pleased to be expanding our learning center for the 2021-22 school year as part of our strategic growth. At MTA, one of the premier Modern Orthodox Jewish High Schools in North America, we provide our students with a comprehensive dual curriculum education. MTA is an exciting place to work! We continuously seek to innovate in the classroom, in order to ensure that we are properly training our students for a bright but often uncertain world. We believe that strong relationships between faculty and students serve as the bedrock for achieving educational growth, and we are proud that this is a major part of our school culture. We are the only Yeshiva High School in North America to be located on the campus of a major university, and as the official high school of Yeshiva University, we have many opportunities for both students and staff that cannot be found anywhere else, including frequent lectures and programs with Yeshiva University faculty, as well as access to college courses for our 12th grade students.
We are seeking an energetic, well rounded learning specialist to provide direct academic support for students in 9th – 12th grades, primarily in secular studies. The qualified candidate will: provide instruction in student skills such as time management, organization and effective studying, be able to communicate effectively with students, parents and faculty, be able to make use of appropriate technology and websites in order preview and review material with students, and be well versed in strategies for developing student engagement and independence. Previous experience working with high school aged students and relevant degrees preferred. Competitive salary and benefits, including tuition remission in participating university programs.
