Students Share: How To Build Bridges in the Fight Against Hate

by | Oct 9, 2024 | Events and Opportunities for Educators

Watch the replay of Facing History & Ourselves’s inspiring webinar on building bridges in the fight against hate.

Jewish and Muslim students who have formed bridge-building clubs in their schools and educators who have facilitated student dialogue across conflict shared their motivations and experiences with this work.

The panel features educators from Seeds of Peace, a leadership development program that works with young people and educators in regions of conflict, and the Hand in Hand school, a fully integrated, bilingual Arab and Jewish school in Jerusalem. Panelists will discuss how building relationships across conflict humanizes those we perceive as the enemy and can be an effective strategy in combating the spread of antisemitism and Islamophobia.

Catch the replay to:
— Gain an understanding of how some young people are responding to the rise in antisemitism and Islamophobia.
— Identify bridge-building strategies that allow people from different identities and different ideological perspectives to successfully dialogue with each other.
