Job Description: The Principal Assistant will provide high-level support to both the elementary and middle school principals by assuming a wide range of responsibilities, all of which will require critical thinking, independent thinking, multi-talking skills and integrity. Using your exceptional communication skills you will effectively communicate to the principals, teachers, and parents being a contact point for all providing guidance and direction when appropriate. Likewise you will be managing multiple complex calendars and schedules and ordering and tracking multiple budgets.
We are looking for someone with strong project management skills and confidence in their abilities and choices who feels comfortable making decisions on behalf of principal and staff needs while providing exceptional executive support.
The utmost professionalism and confidentiality is imperative, as the Principal Assistant will be working on sensitive projects, be privy to confidential information.
Manage executive day-to-day schedule of the middle and elementary school principals: set meetings, confirm and follow up with meetings, manage when to book in certain meetings and when they are not needed, and attend to other matters
Complete all ordering for teachers and administrators while managing and tracking budgets
Prepare correspondence and internal and external communications as requested
Manage interaction and communications with employees at all levels of the organization
Plan and coordinate department/division meetings as they arise, including the management of all meeting details (preparing agendas, ordering meals, securing space, and inviting attendees)
Be a point of contact for parents, teachers, and administrators
Help with coordination of substitute teachers when needed
Manage job postings and organize interviews, follow up calls, and secure travel/accommodation
Book domestic and international travel arrangements (air, hotel, ground travel) including complex planning of meeting agendas and logistics, assist with meeting coordination, and create detailed itineraries for executive travel
