Maimonides School, a Modern Orthodox day school in Brookline, MA, seeks strategic-minded, forward-looking leader to develop & execute encompassing approach to enrollment & communications. Since departments are highly integrated, we seek leader for both. Open to hiring 2 people in separate roles, focus on admissions or communications.

Director of Community Engagement is responsible for enrollment, admissions & retention. Lead strategic planning & implement marketing & communications goals. Report to Head of School & serve on administrative team.

● Lead admissions & retention efforts, partner with division heads & school administrators
● Develop & execute admissions & retention strategy for current year & long-term. Short-term plan includes planning & execution of events proven successful & innovating new events where appropriate
● Monitor, assess, & update projected enrollment targets, related data & trends
● Develop & execute communications plan that serves enrollment strategies & communicates value proposition. Develop metrics for periodically assessing & revising plan
● Work closely with Director of Finance on financial aid process & analysis of success
● Serve as positive, energetic, & engaging representative of school & mission; develop strong relationships with families in community & leaders who can be advocates for Maimonides education
● Develop strong working relationships with feeder schools & other schools in greater Boston
● Coordinate, manage, supervise, & develop admissions & communications personnel
● Support enrollment management through management of database; setting & achieving admissions & retention goals; “white-glove” stewardship of current & prospective families; & appropriate communications
● Generate & interpret regular reports on trends & data relevant to enrollment & community engagement; present to & advise Head of School, Board of Directors, & leadership

● 5+ years experience in admissions, marketing, &/or communications
● Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s preferred
● Data management & databases (Veracross)
● Event planning, strategic planning, & project management
● Demonstrated skill as collaborator & innovator
● Excellent verbal & written communication
● Management experience in directing team & providing feedback, support, & supervision
● Ability to innovate & learn, receive & act on feedback
