Manhattan Day School seeks an experienced IT Associate to guide the implementation of the school’s educational technology programs. The IT Associate will:
Provide in-service help to staff on hardware and software issues. This includes visiting classrooms on request.
Setup and software installation of new equipment, including computers, iPads, Smartboards etc.
Perform troubleshooting and maintenance work.
Manage and maintain the school’s network and servers, network devices such as firewalls, switches, and wireless access points, as well as all software services such as DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, File and Print Services
Installation and support of all classroom technology
Manage and maintain school’s phone system
Maintain accurate, up-to-date and complete documentation of the school network, hardware, servers, systems, and recovery processes
A/V setup and operation during special events (which sometimes occur outside of normal working hours)
Printer management and maintenance
Management of Google Workspace
Expertise in troubleshooting and operation of computer hardware and common software applications such as Microsoft Office and the Gsuite/Google Workspace
Knowledge of basic networking and systems infrastructure
Thorough knowledge of methods and techniques used to maintain and repair computer equipment
Ability to carry out maintenance plans and repair schedules for technical resources
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with frequent interruptions
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
School experience preferred
