We are seeking an outstanding, passionate, and experienced Jewish educator to become our Lower School Director of Hebrew and Judaic Studies.
The Director of Hebrew and Judaic Studies oversees the teaching and learning in two critical programs: Ivrit and Limudei Kodesh/Yahadut, which incorporates Chumash, Tefilah, Chagim, and Mishnah, and serves as a member of the Lower School Leadership Team. Collaborating with Lower School teachers as well as Judaic/Hebrew department chairs in our Middle School and High School divisions, the Director envisions, strengthens, and supervises Lower School Ivrit and Limudei Kodesh learning, assessing our program and its outcomes, and helping our students become the Jewish learners that we and their families seek for them to be. The Director of Hebrew and Judaic Studies will be a supervisor, a teacher of teachers, and an engaging role model who inspires students to love Jewish learning.
Qualifications: Hebrew fluency and strong experience in Jewish education, curriculum development, and supervision required. Master’s degree or higher in Jewish education preferred. Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, in the $100,000 to $120,000 range plus benefits.
