Founded in 1943, Manhattan Day School/Yeshiva Ohr Torah is a Modern Orthodox day school located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan serving Toddlers through Eighth Grade. The warm, vibrant, Torah community of MDS nurtures the light in each student. Our environment cultivates each student’s individuality while celebrating our collective energy. Responsibilities:
To support the lead teachers in delivering engaging and innovative lessons across various general studies subjects. Assisting in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth. Additionally, providing individualized and group attention and support to students, ensuring their academic and personal development, and collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective curriculum plans aligned with educational standards. Finally, fostering a love for learning by inspiring curiosity and critical thinking skills in students.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates for this position should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, as well as previous experience working in a school setting, preferably in a similar role. The desired candidate should exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
