Full-Time High School Limudei Kodesh Teacher 2023-2024

Kohelet Yeshiva High School seeks a warm, dynamic, and inspirational Limudei Kodesh teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Our new Limudei Kodesh staff member will be part of a growth-oriented team of mechanchim and mechanchot committed to instilling both the skills for successful Torah learning and a desire for Torah living in each and every one of their students.

Kohelet Yeshiva is a warm and embracing Modern Orthodox K-12 yeshiva day school committed to cultivating Bnei and Bnot Torah who think critically and creatively while exuding confidence and compassion. The High School division, known as Kohelet Yeshiva High School, builds on these foundations by nurturing the talents and potential of every student while equipping them with the skills and knowledge they will need to succeed and to lead in the best yeshivot and seminaries, the finest colleges and universities, and well beyond.

Candidates should be excited about the possibility of inspiring students while exploring the richness of Torah. Our educators teach students in a variety of different levels, in moderately sized (average around 15), single gender Limudei Kodesh classes (Gemara, Tanach, or Halacha). Additionally, our Limudei Kodesh staff members serve as a religious guidance counselor for a small number of students each year. Teachers are encouraged to participate in school-wide special events, shabbatonim, and programs outside of the regular school day.

The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in Judaic Studies and/or Semicha and a demonstrated track record teaching Limudei Kodesh in a high school setting. The candidate should be able to understand and reach Modern Orthodox adolescents and should conduct themselves in a manner that models a sophisticated, integrated, and inspired Torah life. In addition, the candidate should possess a collaborative growth mindset and the aspiration to continuously improve in all aspects of their role.

We offer a comprehensive compensation package commensurate with experience that includes salary, benefits, professional development, mentorship, growth opportunities and more.
