Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva is the founding Orthodox Jewish day school of excellence in Middlesex County, New Jersey. RPRY embraces a whole child metacognitive educational philosophy that encompasses the children’s social, emotional and academic well-being with our unique Think Tank instructional model, which describes how our lead teachers collaborate with a variety of learning specialists and supportive team members to differentiate for every student.
RPRY is currently accepting resumes for part-time psychologists and social workers for the 2023-2024 school year. These positions have flexible hours and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Support and model the spirit of RPRY’s inclusive, whole-child Think Tank collaborative, problem-solving instructional model.
Provide guidance and advice to the administrative team to address school wide issues, particularly for crisis intervention.
Participate in weekly meetings as a member of the Think Tank Student Support Team to address student needs and to create cohesive plans to be implemented at school.
Provide skillful support to students to address social-emotional needs through facilitated small social groups and facilitated weekly social-emotional classroom instruction.
Serve as a resource for teachers to develop strategies to address individual student needs as well as wider student issues.
Serve as a resource for families to foster understanding of the developmental, behavioral and social-emotional health of children.
Observe and interact with students in the school environment in order to recommend strategies of support.
Collaborate with faculty and families to recommend and implement strategies of support.
Qualifications:
Evidence strong ability to connect with students, parents, teachers and administrators in an atmosphere of empathy, respect and belonging
Exhibit a strong understanding of a developmental approach to children’s socialization, emotional well-being and academic progress and a deep knowledge of the wide range of child development
Display knowledge of best practices in psychology and related fields
Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Master’s Degree in Psychology or Social Work required, Doctoral degree preferred
