General Studies Associate and Lead Teachers

Magen David Yeshivah is looking for General Studies Associate and Lead Teachers at our Brooklyn school.
The school year is consistent with the Jewish calendar and closed during summer.

Using a variety of instructional and assessment strategies, as directed by the Teacher, to meet individual students’ needs.
Supervising students and maintaining the responsibility of the class, when the Head Teacher is not present.
Assisting the Head Teacher with lesson preparation, including collecting materials and setting up equipment.
Tracking attendance, grading assignments and calculating grades.
Collaborating with the Head Teacher to identify student’s issues.
Head Teacher will design and maintain a classroom environment that facilitates active, hands-on learning, group management, self-expression and choice, and inclusion of all children, parents, volunteers and staff.
Communicate with parents and school counselors on student progress
Evaluate each student’s growth in knowledge and skills in the course being taught

Associate Teacher should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is pursuing a Master’s degree and plans a career in education.
Head teacher should have a Master’s degree and hold certification and/or license in related field with a minimum of 1-3 years of teaching experience.
