We wish to employ a full-time licensed social worker / clinical mental health counselor grades 1-5 to facilitate our students’ academic and emotional growth. Through direct support to our students as well as teacher consultation, the social worker will contribute to the success of our student body.
Job Responsibilities include:
Work collaboratively with school administrators, nurse, faculty, staff, parents and various community agencies to support students’ social, emotional, academic, behavioral and developmental functioning.
Partner with school mental health providers in other divisions to support student transitions and develop shared approaches to school-based mental health programs.
Provide individual and group counseling to students in order to support students’ well-being and school performance.
Identify and utilize community resources, and act as a liaison between the school and outside agencies and providers in support of students.
Establish rapport with students and parents to engage in the educational process, provide specialized services such as crisis intervention and teacher consultations.
Develop groups, classroom lessons and programs related to social-emotional learning.

Qualifications:
Degree in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or a comparable degree
Valid License. LISW, LPCC
Experience working with elementary aged children in the school setting required.
Salary will be commensurate with experience
