The North Shore Hebrew Academy (NSHA) in Great Neck, NY is a co-educational Modern Orthodox Yeshiva that inspires students to become passionate learners, critical thinkers, problem solvers and dedicated community members.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic teacher to join our team as a STEM/Computer Science teacher. An ideal candidate will have experience teaching educational technology curriculum to elementary school students. This teacher will teach our first through fifth grade students and is responsible for planning lessons, assessing student learning, inspiring students, communicating with parents, and collaborating with their colleagues. An ideal candidate will possess a love of teaching children, strong classroom management skills, a passion for EdTech, and the ability to support teachers in integrating technology in instruction.

Ideal Candidates will possess the following qualifications:
MA degree in education
A minimum of three years teaching computer science/EdTech in an elementary school
A teaching philosophy that focuses on growth in academic, social and emotional learning
A collaborative, teamwork-oriented approach
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ideal Candidates will possess familiarity with some of the following technologies and tools:
G-Suite tools
Spreadsheets / Word processing / Presentation
Digital documentation (Video Edition w/ WeVideo)
Website building / Portfolio (html, javascript)
2-D Design, Photo Editing and Printing (Photoshop)
3-D Design & Printing (TinkerCad, SketchUp, MakerBot)
Coding (Scratch, MakeyMakey, littleBits, CodeKit)
Robotics (VEX Go, Lego WeDo, Hummingbird, Arduino technology)
