Yeshiva University High School for Boys is looking for a dynamic, organized, knowledgeable and thoughtful inaugural director of our Center for Business and Entrepreneurship. Currently, we are seeking to build a full slate of elective courses and tracks on top of an already stellar core academic program. One of the foundational elective tracks is in the area of Business and Entrepreneurship. For the 2022-2023 school year, we are looking to start the process of developing a fully formed elective track that includes classes, trips, professional experiences, and special programs that will allow our graduates to emerge from high school with an outstanding grounding in business and entrepreneurship.
We are seeking a director to develop our program, the YUHSB Center for Business and Entrepreneurship. This program will include at least 3 courses in B&E, which would begin with a 10th grade financial literacy course and progress into more advanced topics for the 11th and 12th grade courses. Additionally, the Director will chart the vision for this program, which would include opportunities to hear from guest speakers, special trips to business locations, opportunities to bring entrepreneurial ideas to the broader MTA student community, and professional opportunities for MTA students in the form of internships and otherwise.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about student growth, and have a warm and engaging personality that can be used in developing meaningful relationships with each student. They will have mastery of educational pedagogy and the subject matter, but will also be strongly motivated by continued opportunities to grow and develop as an effective educator.
We are part of Yeshiva University, and benefit from the academic and cultural opportunities of teaching on the university campus. Our general studies faculty hours are 11:30 AM to 6 PM Monday through Thursday, and we offer competitive salary and benefits packages.
