The focus of this site is the work of Nechama Leibowitz, one of the most influential teachers of Torah in the last generation. The site contains a series of new lessons on parashat hashavua based on her study sheets (gilyonot). The lessons, which cover Bereshit through Mishpatim, are written by students of Nechama’s methodology, utilizing study sheets that she did not use in her famous studies (iyunim) on the weekly Torah portion. The site also includes an essay and sample lessons for the use of “active learning” in the teaching of Jewish history.
