Lesson objectives

The aim of this web quest is to familiarize elementary students in a community Jewish Day School with Rashi, his life, his work and the period he lived in.

Students will locate and interpret different sources about Rashi
Students will learn about the period Rashi lived in.
Students will familiarize themselves with Rashi’s Font כתב רש”י
Students will understand the importance of Rashi’s Commentary.
Students will strengthen their Power Point skills.
