Concerning the importance of children learning Hebrew, aside from the obvious cultural and religious advantages, very good reasons exist for Jewish schools teaching as much Hebrew as is needed to make their children fluent. Parents should be informed that bilingualism in children may well enhance their children's lives, their ability to earn a higher income, their intelligence and even mental health.
