Introduction: Professor Isadore Twersky, z”l, presented the “meta-goal” of Jewish education at a meeting of the Commission on Jewish Education in North America in 1990: “(Jewish) education, in its broadest sense, will enable young people to confront the secret of Jewish tenacity and existence, the quality of Torah teaching which fascinates and attracts irresistibly.
