Is there ever a time when we can free ourselves of having to thank people for kindness they did for us in the distant past? Is there a need for grown children to be ever-thankful to their parents for feeding and clothing them as infants?

  2. Moshe instructs the leaders of the next generation to conduct a ceremony of blessings for those who uphold the law and curses for those who defy it. Which is a more effective educational tool - the promise of rewards for good actions or the threat of negative consequences for bad deeds?
