Helping non-Jewish faculty understand festivals/events

September 09, 2016 05:44AM
One of my goals last year was to try and make the non-Jewish faculty feel a part of the Jewish aspect of the school. To this end, I created little Guides to the Perplexed for various festival/times throughout the year. They are one page summaries of key words, phrases and ideas. They are certainly not comprehensive, but are meant to give a flavour of the festival/event and some suggestions of things to ask students.

If they are useful for your school please feel free to use it all, or copy and paste, as you wish.

They are on a googledrive here: [drive.google.com]

Also, don't forget to check out our Jewish Learning Games at jewishgaming.com .Kerem bYavneh is a great way for students to live the festivals virtually.

Be well,

Reuven
