Hindy Kalmenson asks for suggestions on how to teach high school Tanakh creatively.

This is an opportunity to encourage day school teachers to take advantage of the curricular materials that have been developed by Misradh HaHinukh – the Education Ministry in Israel. The website of the Mamlachti Dati Tanakh curriculum – Lilmod U’lelamed – can be accessed here - [www.lilmod.cet.ac.il]
For the specific books that Hindy mentions, see:
Bereshit - [www.lilmod.cet.ac.il]
Melakhim Bet - [www.lilmod.cet.ac.il]
Trei Asar - [www.lilmod.cet.ac.il]

Each webpage contains links to resource material and suggestions for presentations.

Keep in mind that not all books appear, inasmuch as the website follows the Education Ministry curriculum that assumes that some chapters and books were studied in elementary school (although there are “catch-up” links aimed at new immigrants who may have missed certain stories).

Kol Tuv,
Shalom
