When I worked at the Israel Museum many years ago we used Ligature for a project - [www.ligatureltd.com]
I haven't used it since. OCR in general isn't perfect though, there is a percent of content that needs to be fixed manually. For your needs you'd probably want to see whether its faster to use OCR or to enter the text manually.
