I trust that many of my colleagues were as surprised as I was to hear the Prime Minister of the State of Israel declare publicly that Adolf Hitler did not plan to murder the Jewish people until the Mufti suggested that to him. A number of my students raised this in the history class that I teach, and given my plans for an upcoming class on Holocaust denial, I was wondering if my Lookjed colleagues might have suggestions about how to best explain historical revisionism coming from the Prime Minister (whose father, by the was, was a well-known historian).
