Hi all -
I looking for some advice/suggestions regarding a Navi curriculum.
In 7th and 8th grade (which are now officially part of the our Upper School), the students study Joshua/Shoftim/Shmuel I/Shmuel II, that is, they learn the basics of the story line while working on Hebrew skills and an occasional commentary.
In 9th grade students study Melachim, not all, but key parts, and with more emphasis on meforshim.
In 10th grade we wanted to thematically address the topic of Exile and Return, which would mean, in our view, studying sections of Daniel & Yirmiyahu and then Ezra & Nechemiah.
Here are my questions.
1) Does this make sense?
2) Which sections/chapters of these books would you suggest learning?
3) What resources (other than traditional commentaries) might you suggest that we could use with 10th (and possibly11th) grade students?
Thanks.
