There are endless compilations of "Gedolim" stories. Does anyone know of any compilations of inspiring "baal habatim" stories? I am looking for inspiring stories of personalities, or examples of mesirat nefesh, tzedaka, learning, chesed etc. done by ordinary people.
One of the purposes of this is to create certain types of models so I am looking for Jewish role models in addition to the general "Chicken Soup for the Soul" compilations.
If anyone knows of a compilation, or any magazines which have run series similar to this, I would appreciate it greatly.
