We are developing a new senior level Ivrit course called Ivrit - Culture through Drama and the Arts, and we would like to hear and to learn from the experiences of other schools who may have developed similar type courses.
Our course is meant to help students enhance their ability to use Ivrit language with clarity and precision while exploring theater literature such as stories, plays, scripts and poems. Students will work toward developing their own Ivrit scripts and plays. Class work will focus on the exploration of Hebrew theater literature, performance, historical and cultural awareness, and technical requirements. The course will help develop enjoyment and appreciation for all aspects of Hebrew theater.
Responses from individuals with experience in using theater study and dramatic arts as a mode to Ivrit study greatly appreciated.
