Anthony Knopf asks how best to explain evolution to children. Let me share with educators that Prof. Nathan Aviezer from Bar Ilan University, with a grant from The Templeton Foundation, has developed a 7-module computer curriculum on the subject of Torah & Science. The curriculum addresses issues of Cosmology including The Big Bang Theory and Evolution. He demonstrates how the consensus in the scientific community on Cosmology squares with the Torah's description of Creation in Bereishit 1-2. R' Pinchas Hayman of Bonayich and I have collaborated with Prof. Aviezer in developing the program. I am happy to share a demo module, our full 7 module mapping of the curriculum, and discuss in full the many features of the curriculum with any interested party. We have numerous schools piloting the curriculum this coming school year. The costs associated with the program are nominal and teacher training is also included.
