I am working on a project for my high school Tanach class where students learn about the background and personal motivations of select commentators, then study select commentaries that reflect their background/motivation.
Looking for recommendations:
- commentators lend themselves to fit this project
- suggested commentaries that strongly reflect a historical/cultural background or personal motivation of a specific commentator.
