Israeli history in the 1970s - looking for curricular materials

December 07, 2017 08:22AM
As part of the ongoing celebrations of Israel's 70th year, our (Israeli) middle school/high school has tasked each "staff" with the job of enriching the students' knowledge of one of the past 7 decades of Israeli history. The English staff is responsible for the decade encompassing 1969-79, and rather than reinventing the wheel, we are looking for already created teaching material, in English, about the events of this decade. In particular, we are looking to teach about Menachem Begin, Golda Meir, the settlement movement, and Entebbe, and plan to spend anywhere from 4-16 classroom hours on this, depending on the subject and grade level.

Due to the wide range of English levels of our students, I would be happy to receive material appropriate for almost any grade level from 3rd - 12th.

If you have something you would be willing to share or a suggestion of where I could look for material, please be in touch!
