After reading Simkovich's proposal, I decided to acquaint myself with the issue by finding a survey of those affected by the problem. I hope that Lookjed readers are familiar with this recent study - [jewishweek.timesofisrael.com]

Personally, I prefer a broad anthology of authors, Jewish and non-Jewish addressing different aspects of the problem. I think if the students become aware that their problems are not new and are endemic to religion, they will be less-inclined to drift away.
