Hi,

Over the past few months my third grade boys class in Chicago (Arie Crown
Hebrew Day School) has been able to set up a "penpal" relationship with a
similar class in Los Angeles (Emek) and a mamlachti dati school in Kiryat
Gat, Israel. This experience has been exciting and very rewarding for my
students. We have communicated through email and "snail mail". We have
written the Israeli kids in Hebrew and they have written us in English. We
have exchanged pictures and sent Mishloach Manot to each other. Most of
all the students have started to realize that they are not alone. There is
a greater "klal Yisrael" of which they are a part.

Other teachers have expressed interest in setting up similar
relationships. I am looking for teachers (from everywhere) who are
interested, as well. I will be glad to be the "shadchan".

If you are interested, please write me at sschwartz@aol.com

Thanks,
Rabbi Shlomo Schwartz</HTML>
