What are our goals in teaching Gemara in High School?

After four years in a yeshiva day school what do we expect from students?
Skills?
Knowledge?

Based on these goals what should we be teaching in High School?

Should it be:
Just gemara without mefarshim?
Rashi and Tosafot?
Lomdus?
Bekiut?
Iyun?

How should the classes be conducted?

How much chevruta?
How much from teacher?
Homework?

Obviously there are differences between high schools but I think that
sharing ideas will allow us to come up with some broad principles we can
apply to all yeshiva high schools.

I hope these questions can keep us busy for the rest of the summer.
