<HTML>I am writing to you from the International Research Institute on Jewish
Women at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, USA. As an intern, one of the
tasks that I have been assigned to this summer is collecting information
on the various Jewish educational opportunities that exist for women
worldwide.
I am in search of information concerning any formal or informal education
that is available for women. I am particularly interested in any type of
shiurim that is geared towards women's Jewish education. Information on
classes, schedules, topics, teachers, etc. would be very useful to my
research. Further, along with our interest in Jewish education for women,
we are also curious to learn about different prominent Jewish women
internationally.
The purpose of this research is two-fold. Firstly, to have a compendium of
the Jewish educational opportunities that are available for women as well
as prominent Jewish educators, academics, journalist and lay people
worldwide.
Secondly, in December 1999, there will be an International Jewish
Education conference at Brandeis University. Women's Jewish Education is a
significant component of it.
