Just to point out a few available sources on the issue of teaching Torah to
women:
There were some good articles on these questions in Ten Da'at, Sivan 5749
(Rav Moshe Kahn, Rav Aharon Lichtenstein) that were basic and short, so
they can be xeroxed and handed out for reading and discussion.
In my opinion, the best article that grapples with women and learning is
Warren Zev Harvey's that appeared in Tradition, Summer 1981, "The
Obligation of Talmud on Women According to Maimonides".
Aside from the Mekorot that Tzvi mentioned, (most of which appear
translated in Moshe Kahn's abovementioned article) you should bring in the
"Hisva'adut" from the Lubavitcher Rebbe z"l (Shabbat Parshat Emor, Erev
Lag B'Omer 5750). The article offers overwhelming support for women
learning TSBP in the contemporary world.
With regard to the question of Gadol Hamitzuveh V'Oseh generally, it's
worth seeing Rav Kook's introduction to his Shabbat Ha'aretz, where he
argues that on some level the Aino Metzuveh is better (p.24).
Enjoy.
