<HTML>A number of years ago in Atlanta, we established a "Jewish teaching
internship" with the help of the Jim Joseph Foundation. We brought in two
students who were studying in graduate Yeshiva program (i.e. a beit
medrash) and gave them teaching responsibilities in the school for half a
day under the guidance of master teachers and the principal (myself). The
rest of day, these two young men learned together in the school's beit
medrash. In my own view, this was teacher training at its best. The Jewish
teaching interns also were very positive role models for the students in
the school.
