<HTML>This digest includes reference to the most recent addition to our website,
the catalogue of the Bar Ilan Torah Sheba'al Peh Project. These materials
were prepared for Misrad HaHinukh - the Israeli educational system, and
are in wide use here in Israel. The catalogue - translated into English -
includes a list of textbooks and teacher aids produced by the Torah
Sheba'al Peh Project, as well as the basic curricula for the
national-religious school system for grades 1-9.
The catalogue is located at [
www.biu.ac.il]
It is entitled: Oral Law Studies Catalogue/ Torah Sheba'al Peh project
The other two topics are continuations of discussions that have taken
place earlier on the list.
Rabbi Basil Herring, who launched a discussion of teaching ethics in our
schools, summarizes, responds and invites further discussion, based on the
replies that were received.
Rabbi Scot Berman, following up Dr. Joel Wolowelsky's request for school
philosophies, has contributed the philosophy put forward by Kushner
Yeshiva High School in Livingston, NJ. We welcome further examples of
school philosophies, and would like to make a selection available on the
website.
