Here is a question from a colleague who will be running a creative writing course. I thought her question would be best dealt with by the readers of this list:
I am interested in knowing any halachic or ethical issues that might arise regarding creative writing and, more specifically, publishing written materials. It is important to me that students understand that they can and should write whatever they need to express, but when it comes to "putting their work out there" they might need to consider issues such as lashon hara etc.
