Over the past week or so, Lookjed has received several requests from teachers who are looking for curricular materials. These include:
A specific request for materials on Parashat Shlach - [www.lookstein.org]
A more general request for material of Sefer Bemidbar - [www.lookstein.org]
A request for a medical ethics curriculum –
[www.lookstein.org]

I have also received off-list requests for curricular materials to help develop a course in Jewish thought.

This is an opportunity for me to remind Lookjed readers that the Israeli school system has a well-developed set of curricular materials that are always worth looking at. While it is all in Hebrew and is not available in translation, nevertheless it can serve as useful source material for day school educators.

The Misrad HaHinukh Tanakh website for religious schools appears here – [www.lilmod.cet.ac.il]

You can follow the links to Sefer BeMidbar, for example, and focus in on Parashat Shlach - [www.lilmod.cet.ac.il]

Regarding Jewish thought, Misrad HaHinukh has uploaded many materials. For example, they have a curriculum available online here -
[cms.education.gov.il]
and a teachers' guide here -
[cms.education.gov.il]

Herzog College (affiliated with Yeshivat Har Etzion) has quite a bit of material online. Their hoveret on Sefer Bamidbar is excellent -[www.herzog.ac.il]
They also host the Daat site, which includes a wide variety of educational materials. It has, for example, a mini-site on medicine and halacha here - [www.daat.ac.il]

Shalom
