My oldest granddaughter attended a well-known Bais Yaakov in Boro Park. A few month into her first year she came home complaining, "All they tell us is how long our skirts and dresses have to be. Don't they have anything else to say?"
I suspect that many of the teachers really don't. Her father's response was to begin reading selections from the Collected Writings of RSRH with her. A couple of months later I asked her, "What do you think of Rabbiner Hirsch?" She replied, "Rabbiner Hirsch is great!"
I have long advocated for teaching some of RSRH's writings should be taught in Yeshiva High Schools. Why isn't this done?
