A couple of ideas for Israel@70 theme projects.
Every grade/class can "adopt" an Israeli city/yishuv for the year.
-It will be their class designation for the year (instead of class 5x they are called כיתת ב×ר שבע)
The class can:
- Learn the history of their city from the times of Tanach until the present
- Learn about famous personalities that were born or lived in "their" city
- Learn about famous events that took place in their city
- Take a virtual tour of the city
- Be decorated with pictures of their city
- Build models of buildings or create a map of the city
- Create a partnership project with a school in their adopted city
The culminating event can be a grand tour of ×ž×“×™× ×ª ישר×ל leading up to ×™×•× ×”×¢×¦×ž×ות when every class gets a chance to tour the city of the other classes.
Obviously, there is much more that can be done with this model.
