"The problem I have is that if someone says he is gay or she is lesbian, we automatically start wondering whether they are sexually active...We do nothing of the sort for straight students"
On this basis Eliyahu Teitz challenges the relevancy of my distinction between active and inactive homosexuals, since we don't "grill" students or pry into their bedrooms. I still stand on the side of relevancy. What if a student mentions his/her partner on a Facebook page or in some other context?
Once again, I do not advocate a policy for homosexuals. I do not want to, and am not qualified to do so. But I disagree that the question should be dismissed.
