<HTML>Our school, Hebrew Academy is host to a Kollel Mitzion. This is a new
type of Kollel which is Zionist (!) and also housed in the school Beit
Midrash. The Rabbanim of the Kollel give shiurim in the evenings and
also arrange shiurim. The Kollel wives also give shiurim to women. The
shiurim are in Hebrew and English. The educational director of our
school, Rabbi Tsaidi gives a weekly shiur on parsha which attracts
40 to 60 parents and alumni. The Kollel also has sponsored special
programs for chagim. It has been a great success and high quality.
This program of study has offered our parent body serious learning
and has been a very positive influence in the community. The importance
of children seeing both mothers and fathers setting out time for
leaning and also joining them cannot be underestimated. There is also
a Sunday morning father/son program. Most of the shiurim are open to
both men and women and to the entire community.
