I am not sure who may be able to help me; but I thought it was worth a
try.
I am involved heavily with one of our local Jewish Federations (They've
even nominated me for an elected position on their board.).They give money
for "pluralism" "tolerance" and "coexistence" in Israel.
One of the groups that they give a small grant to is Am Hofshi.
While I am unfamiliar with the work of that group, I have heard rumors
that they are involved more in anti-religious propaganda than in tolerance
and coexistence. Does anyone have impartial evidence about Am Hofshi's
activities? Could you send it to me?
A related question: Since Federation does give to "pluralistic Orthodox
groups" in Israel:
Does anyone know of Orthodox groups that promote tolerance and coexistence
in Israel? I am already aware of (and involved in a small way with) Machon
Meir.
