<HTML>Regarding Rabbi Eliach's Perek Yomi: The suggestion is an interesting one,
although it should be entertained only as an extracurricular activity. My
understanding is that the success of the spread of the Daf Yomi is related
to the readily available shiurim, in all languages, on a variety of
levels, and in the involvement of the adult learning community (as opposed
to the day school population). Any serious attempt at promoting the Perek
Yomi will have to address these issues.
