I would like to respond to the Levine post:
It's possible that the reason why graduates have no idea how to explain to a stranger on the train "what yahadut is all about" is because wearing a black coat and hat has absolutely nothing to do with what yahadut is about. Maybe if school focused on actual Jewish values like lovingkindness, compassion, and acceptance of the stranger, graduates would actually be interested in living in the Torah way.
